Nosebleed can be very scary, but it usually is not a sign is nothing serious and it can be treated at home. The bleeding usually occurs from one nostril. But sometimes the blood can fill the affected nostril and pour into the other nostril and then causes bleeding from both of the sides.
The easiest way to stop the nosebleed is to tweak the nose, it sends pressure to the point of bleeding into the nasal septum, and that help immediately to stop the blood flow. You should sit upright with the head tilted slightly forward. You should never tilt the head back, it can be dangerous and even lead to vomiting. Pinch the soft part of the nose bone beneath the bridge. Do this for about 5 to 10 minutes and breathe through the mouth. Relieve the pressure gently and peacefully sit about 5 minutes. Repeat this method as necessary until the bleeding stops. Do not blow your nose. Another very good method for stopping the bleeding is with onions. Onion has means for blood clotting and it is rich in vitamin C and bioflavonoids who strengthen the damaged blood vessels.
Method 1: Cut the onion in thick slices and press 1 slice under the nose and inhale. And done, the bleeding will stop within a few minutes.
Method 2: Put 2 – 3 drops freshly squeezed juice from onions in each nostril. Repeat the method if is necessary.
