[Instant Pot] Needed ingredients:
-4 3/4-inch thick bone-in pork chops
-1/4 cup butter, divided
-salt and ground black pepper to taste
-1 onion, chopped
-1 cup baby carrots, or more to taste
-3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
-1 cup vegetable broth
-4 whole russet potatoes, or more to taste
At the beginning season the pork chops with salt and ground black pepper. Then melt 2 tablespoons butter in the Instant Pot over medium-high heat. Working in batches, cook the pork chops in the hot butter until browned on both sides, about 3 to 5 minutes per side. Put the pork chops to a plate.
Melt the remaining 2 tablespoons butter in the Instant Pot. Saute carrots and onion into the hot butter until fragrant, for about 2 minutes and add broth and Worcestershire sauce. Then return the pork chops to the Instant Pot. Set a steamer basket on the top of the pork chops and put potatoes in the basket.
Cover with the lid, lock the lid, bring the Instant Pot to high pressure, and cook under pressure for about 13 minutes. Release the pressure from the pot according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Slice the potatoes along the top and serve.
Notes:This delicious meal can be made without carrots. You can use steak sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce. Also you can use chicken broth instead of vegetable broth.
